Is Px Coffee Low-Acid? What is the pH of Px coffee?Updated 18 minutes ago
Quick clarification: pH is only a property of liquids so we can only really report the pH of a standard serving once brewed in a cup. However, our coffee has a pH similar to most regular coffees, typically around 5.0. Since it is a natural product, there is batch to batch variations in composition. Given that many of the organic compounds in coffee degrade with heat, the darker roasts tend to be even less acidic.
However, many people who experience sensitivity with regular coffee have found Px to be easier on their system, likely due to its gentler effect on the body compared to caffeine. Unlike caffeine, Px doesn't trigger stomach acid production or as much smooth muscle overstimulation, which leads to a calmer effect on things such as acid reflux, which many folks struggle with when consuming traditional coffee.
Here are some reviews from Rarebird customers regarding acidity, reflux, etc.

I have reflux and by switching to Px coffee, I don’t have a sour taste in my mouth from the acid in caffeinated coffee. It tastes great,I’m very happy with my purchase.

If you like your coffee, but not the issues associated with the caffeine such as jitteriness or acidic stomach, give this coffee a try. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised. Into my third week and am thoroughly enjoying the taste and without the issues I formerly experienced as a heavy coffee user.

Your Px coffee pods absolutely live up to your description. I use them to make lattes and they have markedly reduced my acid reflux and sour stomach that normal coffee mixed into my latte carries. I have introduced them to my Son, who lives in Denver.

I like this coffee a lot. I gave up coffee/caffeine when I changed my diet a few months ago and I felt way better in terms of my sleep and no longer getting headaches. HOWEVER, I missed coffee big time after a month or two - the taste, the emotional support for doing unsavory tasks, as well as the improved focus and alertness. With cleaning up my diet, I became so sensitive to caffeine that having even a little made me feel awful. I tried this coffee as an option and I honestly really like it. It’s good quality coffee, it tastes rich and smooth, not too bitter or acidic at all, and has great aroma. It’s good black, with cream, and blended up bulletproof style. I brew it as a pourover and measure carefully since it’s a little pricier than regular coffee. I do a ratio of 1 gram of coffee grounds to 17 grams of water. The paraxanthine gives that little hit of alertness and focus, but doesn’t make me feel jittery or anxious at all. It also doesn’t seem to affect my sleep and I don’t feel groggy and cranky if I don’t have it, the way I would when I was drinking a lot of regular coffee, nor have I gotten any headaches so far. I’m so happy to have a morning beverage to look forward to again!
